GORGEOUS CANADIAN DESTINATION WEDDING ON A PRIVATE PROPERTY BY LAKE ERIE
Elizabeth and Jacob knew exactly what they wanted for their Canadian destination wedding. Though the couple lives in Richmond, Virginia, Elizabeth wanted to exchange vows on her family’s private property on the shores of Lake Erie, Ontario. This was the same property where Elizabeth’s parents and sister got engaged, so it was incredibly important for them to have their Canadian destination wedding in such a significant place.
However, soon after they began planning, Elizabeth realized how difficult it was to plan a wedding from far away and how much more effort organizing a private property wedding required. She quickly became overwhelmed and reached out to me for help. After sharing their vision for their day, Elizabeth and Jacob booked my Full Planning & Design package. This ensured that they would have someone local to help organize all the details required to get married on private property, and someone who could implement all the personal elements they were so excited about while they were so far away.
Canadian Destination Wedding on the Shores of Lake Erie
Their family’s beautiful property, nestled along the shores of Lake Erie in Ontario, set the stage for an unforgettable celebration. “While it was a lot of work building the outdoor venue from scratch, it was so incredibly worth it,” the bride reflected. The ceremony and cocktail hour took place on the lawn, right by the water, offering breathtaking views and a serene atmosphere.
Later, guests transitioned to the tennis courts, which had been transformed into an enchanting reception space. The courts were adorned with twinkling overhead lights and elegant table settings, creating a magical ambiance. Family and friends gathered for a night of dancing, laughter, and joyous celebration, all while the soothing sounds of Lake Erie provided a perfect backdrop to this truly special evening.
